DAVIN DE KERGOMMEAUX

For well over a quarter of a century, Davin de Kergommeaux has been writing about, speaking about and teaching about whisky. He is the author of four whisky books, most recently, Canadian Whisky: The Essential Portable Expert, and is recognized as the world expert on Canadian whisky. In 2016, Canada’s national newspaper, the Globe and Mail named him one of the 50 most influential Canadians in food and drink, then in 2018 the New York Times said his significance in the revival of Canadian whisky could not be overstated. He sits on the Advisory Board of The Council of Whiskey Masters, is an original Malt Maniac since 1998, and in March 2024, he became the second Canadian ever inducted into the Whisky Hall of Fame. Davin lives in Ottawa, Canada, with his wife and Lhasa Apso pup.
