El Manantial is an approachable, artisanal mezcal crafted for both longtime enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Meaning “the spring,” its name honors the essential water source in Tapanala, Oaxaca, a high plateau village in the Sierra Sur mountains, where this 43% ABV Espadín (Agave Angustifolia) is produced by the sons of maestro Don Joel Barriga. The same spring that has sustained the community since Zapotec times is used to ferment and proof the mezcal, imparting a distinct sense of terroir in every sip.
